McCandless Silver and Gold Police BadgeThe McCandless Police Department, located in the Town Hall, includes 17 patrol officers, one lieutenant, one detective sergeant, one detective, three patrol sergeants, two school resource officers, a two-person civilian support staff, and six school crossing guards, under the direction of Chief Ryan Hawk. The Department is organized into three divisions: Administration, Patrol, and Investigations/Crime Prevention.

The Town, which is patrolled 24 hours a day, is divided into several different patrol districts, served by 12 marked patrol units. These units provide preventative patrols, response to citizens' complaints, and requests for aid and traffic law enforcement. The police department offers residents a number of community-oriented information programs.

You are encouraged to contact 911 for anything that appears to be suspicious, unusual, or unsafe at your residence, in your neighborhood, or anywhere in the Town.
