Town Council on May 21, 2018, approved entering into a "school resource officer" agreement with the North Allegheny School District. With this, two McCandless Police officers were stationed at North Allegheny Schools. Officer Todd Ray is stationed at North Allegheny Senior High School and Officer Mike Metzger is stationed at North Allegheny Intermediate High School.
