Rezoning public hearing

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 7:30 PM at McCandless Town Hall, 9955 Grubbs Road, Wexford, PA 15090, on an ordinance which would amend the official Zoning Map for the Town of McCandless by changing the zoning district of certain property located on Peebles Road, identified as 8807 Peebles Road (Block/Lot 716-C-278), from R-M Moderate Density Neighborhood District to M-N Neighborhood Center District.

Town Council is expected to take action on the ordinance and associated rezoning application at their November 27, 2023 regular business meeting beginning 7:30 PM at Town Hall. The full text of the proposed ordinance is available for inspection on the Town website (along with the concept plan), and at Town Hall during normal business hours.

Code Appeals Board hearing

Notice is hereby given that the Town of McCandless Code Appeals Board will meet at Town Hall, 9955 Grubbs Rd, Wexford, PA 15090 at 6:30 PM on Thursday, September 14, 2023 to consider the following property maintenance code appeal:

1. Filed by David T. Tessitor, appealing a Notice and Order of Demolition issued by the Town pursuant to Section 715.10 of the Town Code of Ordinances for a residential structure located on property owned by the appellant at 1100 Woodland Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

The Board will consider any other matters that come before it.

All interested parties are invited to attend and be heard in accordance with the rules and procedures established by the Board.

At the conclusion of the public hearing, the Code Appeals Board may take action on the application. Any unfinished business at the end of the meeting will be continued to a future hearing date.
