Town Public Works Department crews will collect Christmas trees for recycling Tuesday, January 7 through Friday, January 17.
Please be sure to remove all decorations before putting your tree at the curb. All trees will be chipped and used for mulch. The mulch will be placed in the Lorraine G. Rogers Memorial Soccer Field parking lot in the spring and will be available to all Town residents.
After January 17, you will be permitted to put your Christmas tree at the curb for regular trash pickup by Waste Management (free of charge, and with no need to call ahead) until January 31.
Please note, if you live on a private road (which may also include some roads in townhouse communities), Waste Management will pick up your tree for the entire month.
If you have any additional questions regarding tree pickup, please call 412-364-0616 Ext. 184.
Additionally, Allegheny County again is offering its annual Christmas Tree Recycling Program. County residents may drop off Christmas trees through Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at all nine regional parks from 8:00 a.m. until dusk.
Locally, trees may be dropped off at North Park's swimming pool parking lot.
All lights, decorations, tinsel and stands must be removed from trees prior to drop-off. Trees will be mulched and used in the county parks.
