McCandless Town Hall will serve as a collection site for KnitHope between September 1 and October 1.
KnitHope collects homemade knitted or crocheted hats and scarves and distributes them to those in need in our local Pittsburgh community. While these items provide needed physical warmth for our region’s winters, they also send a much-needed message to those who may be struggling that people in their community care about them. One handmade item from a giving volunteer can make a big impact on a recipient's life.
If you want to help out, knit or crochet a scarf or hat and drop it off at the container at Town Hall (9955 Grubbs Road) or one of the other collection locations between September 1 and October 1. For more information, go to http://knithope.org/guidelines.html#.YPsc3o1KiUl.
