Town Manager Bob Grimm is stepping down from his position effective June 3.
“I appreciate having had the opportunity to serve the Town of McCandless,” said Grimm, who has accepted a position outside of local government.
He started with the Town in April 2019, replacing retiring Town Manager Toby Cordek. Prior to working here, he was the manager at North Fayette Township for two decades, starting in 1998. He also worked at Beaver Falls, Bellevue, Oil City and Fairmont, W.Va.
Council President Mike Tarle stated, “He will be greatly missed, and I want to extend my sincere appreciation to Bob for his service to the Town.”
A search committee will be formed to perform a comprehensive search for the next manager. In the interim between and the hiring of a permanent manager, an interim manager may be appointed.
"Given our size, our resources, and our wonderful community, it is my belief that the Town will attract quality candidates for the position," Tarle said.
