Personnel Board

The Town of McCandless Personnel Board is made up of three qualified electors of the Town, appointed by Council, to serve overlapping three-year terms. Council may also appoint two alternate members to the board.

The Personnel Board has the following powers and duties to: solicit and evaluate all applicants for the police force (except for the Chief of Police), make a listing of eligible police applicants with numerical rating scores, conduct hearings requested on higher forms of employee, provide such other advice and assistance as may be requested, at any time, by Council or the Town Manager and perform such other functions and duties as may be provided for in the Personnel Code. Experience in human resources is helpful, but not required.
