The McCandless Police Department is a community police organization that cares about its residents. Committed to promoting the Town of McCandless as a quality place, the police department provides a wide variety of services to the residents of McCandless.
The McCandless Police Department, located in the Town Hall, includes 20 patrol officers, two detectives, four patrol sergeants, two lieutenants, a two-person civilian support staff, and six school crossing guards, under the direction of Chief of Police David R. DiSanti Sr.
The Department is organized into three divisions: Administration, Patrol, and Investigations/Crime Prevention.
The Town, which is patrolled 24 hours a day, is divided into several different patrol districts, served by 10 marked patrol units. These units provide preventative patrols, response to citizens' complaints, and requests for aid and traffic law enforcement. The police department offers residents a number of community-oriented information programs.
You are encouraged to contact 9-1-1 for anything that appears to be suspicious, unusual, or unsafe at your residence, in your neighborhood, or anywhere in the Town.
