The 18th annual Town of McCandless Community Day will be held on Saturday, September 8 at Town Hall.
As always, it kicks off with a parade at 12:15 p.m. and ends with a fireworks spectacular at 9 p.m. In between, you’ll find all kinds of live acts, food, rides, games and other groovy stuff.
Live acts include musical groups Kardaz, the Red Hot Ramblers, InTransit and the Allegheny Brass Band; dance performances by Center Stage and Michele’s Dance Center; and a special puppet show from Pittsburgh Puppet Works.
The Frank J. Farina Memorial Car Cruise will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. at North Allegheny Intermediate School.
The McCandless/Northern Allegheny Heritage Center will be open from 1 to 6 p.m., and a special blacksmith demonstration will take place outside the Center.
Parking will be available at the former Trader Horn lot on Blazier Drive and North Park Church on Ingomar Road. A shuttle will run from these location to Town Hall.
