Donate glasses to the Lions Club

Have old glasses lying around? Feel free to donate them to the Lions Club. A donation box is located at the lobby of Town Hall (it is located at the information kiosk directly outside the Robert J. Powers Assembly Room).

Properly retire you U.S. flags

In conjunction with Memorial Park Church, Boy Scout Troop 329 of McCandless will have bins available in two locations for the collection and proper retirement of used American flags.

Flags should be removed from any poles or attachments before placing in the provided recycling bin located at McCandless Town Hall (9955 Grubbs Road) or at Memorial Park Church (8800 Peebles Road).

The bin at Town Hall is located in the main lobby area (at the top of the staircase), which residents can access Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

The Boy Scouts of America were given the responsibility for patriotism and citizenship development and the privilege to retire old or tattered American flags in a proper and respective manor, as prescribed by the U.S. Flag Code.

If you have any questions, call the Town at 412-364-0616.
