Voting Information

Per Allegheny County, polling places for the November 8 General Election will be open from 7 am to 8 pm. Anyone in line at 8 pm will be allowed to vote. The current listing of polling places in McCandless may be found on our polling places page. If you are unsure of what your polling place should be, visit the Pennsylvania voter services website.

Additionally, mail-in voting is an option in Pennsylvania. The last day to apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot is November 1. For more information, visit the Allegheny County website.

If you are unsure of your registration status, visit the Pennsylvania voter services website to find out if you are registered or not, your party affiliation, voting districts, etc.

Up for election locally are U.S. Senator, Pennsylvania Governor (and Lt. Governor), U.S. Representative for the 17th District, state Senator for the 38th District, and State Representative for the 30th District. Voters here also will vote on a ballot question regarding an amendment of Allegheny County's Home Rule Charter.
