The Town of McCandless is soliciting comments on an update to their Pollutant Reduction Plan (PRP) for the Lowries Run, Girtys Run, Little Pine Creek and Pine Creek - North Park Lake Watersheds. The Town's Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit requires McCandless to develop a PRP to discuss methodologies to reduce sediment and phosphorus and make this plan available for public review and comment. MS4 stands for Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System. MS4 Programs are intended to improve our nation's surface waters by reducing the quantities of pollutants that are picked up by runoff and transported into the storm sewer systems during rainfall.
