   The McCandless Snow Angels Program matches dedicated volunteers with Town residents who are unable to remove snow after snow storms.

   Volunteers must be at least 15 years old OR be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Only shoveling is required (if the resident has their own salt, they can request that you salt as well).

   These programs match residents with volunteers when/if there are enough volunteers to fill the requests. There is no guarantee that enough volunteers will be secured.

    In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Angels Program that connects volunteers with property owners that require assistance to remove snow and leaves from their property (the “Program”), I, on behalf of myself and any of my personal representatives, heirs, and next of kin, hereby COVENANT NOT TO SUE and to HOLD HARMLESS, RELEASE, AND INDEMNIFY the Town of McCandless, its elected and appointed officials, officers, agents, attorneys and/or employees (collectively the “Releasees”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever, brought by any party against any party, arising out of my participation in the Program and whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise. This RELEASE, WAIVER OF LIABILITY and INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT shall remain valid in perpetuity and shall include all possible claims of negligence or other causes of action that could be asserted against the Releasees by me for this Program. I warrant and represent that I understand and accept the conditions of my participation as a Volunteer in the Program, having full authority to do so, and that I am physically able to perform these services and assume the risks associated with them. I recognize that my participation in the Program shall not include any interactions or communications with recipient owner(s) of private property except to the extent necessary to perform requested work. I further recognize that no entry inside the residence(s) of any recipient owner(s) is permitted in conjunction with my participation in the Program and that I will only enter upon the premises of properties whose owner(s) have requested it for the purpose of performing requested work. I acknowledge that the recipient owner(s) of the property are responsible for compliance with all State law and Town ordinances including laws and regulations regarding maintenance of the property’s yard, sidewalks, structure exterior and interior, and that the Town is not responsible for said maintenance nor does it guarantee the condition or safety of the private properties whereupon I may perform snow removal through my participation in the Program. I also acknowledge that as a Program Volunteer I am not an employee of the Town and/or acting as an agent on behalf of the Town.
